Issues and Their Causes
LG dryers are reliable appliances, but like any machine, they can develop problems over time. Understanding the most common issues can help you identify when it's time to call a professional repair technician.
"A dryer that won't heat is usually a sign of a faulty heating element or a blown thermal fuse." -Technician Jack
Common LG dryer issues include:
No Heat or Insufficient Heat The dryer runs but clothes come out damp, usually caused by a burned-out heating element or a failed thermal fuse.
Dryer Not Starting Could be due to a broken door latch, faulty control panel, or power supply issue.
Excessive Noise Grinding or squeaking sounds often indicate worn drum bearings, a damaged drum belt, or debris stuck inside the drum.
Dryer Not Spinning Usually caused by a broken drive belt or a failed drum motor.
Overheating Often results from a clogged lint filter, blocked exhaust vent, or a malfunctioning thermostat.

Yes, we repair all LG washing machine models, including front-load, top-load, and combo units.
The drain filter is typically located at the bottom front of your LG washer behind a small panel. To check it, place a towel and shallow container nearby, unscrew the filter cap slowly, and allow any water to drain out. Remove any lint, debris, or foreign objects that may be blocking the filter, then reinsert and tighten the cap securely.
Minor issues such as a clogged filter or a kinked hose can often be resolved at home with basic tools. However, problems involving the drain pump, control board, or internal components are best handled by a certified technician to avoid causing further damage.
It is not recommended. Running a washer that is not draining properly can put unnecessary strain on the motor and pump, potentially leading to more serious and costly repairs down the line.
Check that the drain hose at the back of the machine is not kinked, twisted, or clogged. The hose should also be positioned at the correct height — too low and water may siphon out prematurely, too high and it may not drain at all. Straighten or reposition the hose as needed.
